Saturday afternoon Randie went for her first grading and passed!! I was not allowed

to take photographs in the grading arena but she was presented with her blue belt and certificate today at class by her Sensei. I think she was pretty happy to get her hands on that new belt! We are so very proud of her... how adorable is she!! lol The lighting is pretty bad in the arena and with my ISO bumped all the way to 1800 the quality is pretty poor but it's captured the memory all the same :)

Randie had a great birthday :) She had a party on Saturday with 9 of her friends and then she had a family party on the Sunday. She was sick on Monday running a fever of 102.2F. She has been off of school all week but is feeling much better now. She will go back tomorrow for one day and then have the weekend off.

6 years ago today I was rushed into hospital for an emergency C-section at which time a miracle occured. I became a mother 12 weeks early to an incredibly strong little girl who fought for her life and changed mine forever. That 2 pound baby is now 6 years old. That 2 pound baby is the best thing that has ever happened to me. That 2 pound baby

is my hero. She is intelligent, funny, sensitive, kind, caring, thoughtful, polite, generous, Compassionate to list only a few. Most importantly she is healthy and happy. Every day she fills my heart with joy, to see her smile or hear her laugh makes my heart skip a beat. She makes me so proud in everything that she does, in everything she accomplishes. She makes me so proud to be her mummy. No child could be loved more, every night before I go to bed I walk into her room to check on her, I stop and just watch her sleep so peaceful.. sometimes I watch her and I am so overcome with emotion and love I have to remind myself to breath.. not sometimes... every time. Today is a blessing, today I am blessed.. Today that baby that fought so hard turns 6. Today I am so very proud, so proud to be her mummy. xx

We have had a lot of things going on lately and a very busy weekend ahead. Will be heading to Wonderland tomorrow morning for their halloween happenings and then to Hardwick Hall on Sunday for their halloween happenings.. Dave is sick as a dog and I can hardly walk due to my wrecked knees... This ought to be fun! When its all said and done a promise is a promise....

Yeah October rolls around and the temperature drops, it's time for the street fair!! The girl waits for this all year round and just loves it! This year was a big change, it was time for the big rides, time for speed!! Rides that she would never have dreamed about going on last year she was on this year (with daddy of course) but scary adult rides that some adults wont even go on.. lol She did a couple of the usual kids rides but spent more time on the fast rides.... She had loads of fun!! Now to get ready for halloween :)

Went to the school today for a parent/teacher meeting and found out the girl is doing great :) Not that I doubted it for a minute. I did find out that she listens in school which is a big change from at home .. lol She is such a little monkey but love her more than anything. Here she is sporting her new coat. OMG it was freezing this morning.. took me forever to thaw when I got home from dropping her off at school.

Percy Pig...

This is Percy Pig and if you are lucky you will get to take him home for the night and write about your adventures in the Percy Pig book. Randie was able to take him home because she sang so beautifully in school just like a grown up her teacher says. So Percy stayed over, did some colouring, went for a ride on her bike and a ride in the car and was returned safely in the morning back to school. This was the second time Randie had him within a months time...

She just adores him and is so proud when she gets to bring him home. She just never wants to give him back. I personally just think.. ewwwe how many kids have snotted on this pig? At least this time the teacher told Randie he had just been cleaned... lol So maybe she will escape without the getting the plague!

The girl has got two loose teeth now! I wish it would chill out for a bit.. she has 2 adult teeth already, 1 missing tooth, 2 loose teeth and one molar coming in.. She is only 5 years old!! I thought I would have some more time before all my baby's teeth were falling out and she was becoming a teenager... this just seems wrong .. lol

The second time we took the girl out on her bike without the training wheels and she was doing it!! How clever is she :) She also started Karate on the weekend and loved it!!

I know I have started fresh on the whole blogging thing yet my posts are sporadic but I guess I just have nothing much to say lately. Trying to get my head around losing some weight and keep bouncing back and forth sucks. I't has now officially been a year since I quit smoking, you would think I could get my shit together and lose some damn weight now!! but here I sit bitching about it and thinking, "I could really go for a smoke!" If it's not one thing its another.. lol Anyway, The girl has gone to see Disney on Ice today with her Daddy and Grandma. I'm sure she is having a good time! Not much else to talk about at the moment so I will just leave you with some more pics of the little sprog!

Learning to ride....

Took the girl out yesterday to teach her to ride her bike without the training wheels on. I never imagined that it could actually be so frustrating..lol You seriously need to have a load of patience to teach a child to ride a bike that is for sure. Dave wanted to teach her to do it but I think it was me getting frustrated. She is so scared, even when she is told that she cannot fall off the bike because daddy is holding the seat.

Don't know what I expected though! It was not that she would just ride the bike first time but I did not think she would be such a chicken about it... lol We did this for awhile and then she played in the park and had ice-cream which is always fun :) The weather is really starting to turn cold. I swear I am freezing all the time, even when others are saying it is not that cold. I can just feel it in my bones and it seems to stay there. We will go back to the park another day and try again. Hopefully she gets over the fear a bit :)

Okay, I don't know about you but I find that plastering children's faces with make-up is just wrong on every level! I mean seriously what are we teaching our children? I know there are those people that do the kiddie pageant's and stuff like that and well... I think that shit is just wrong. It's bad enough 9 year old girls are killing themselves today with anorexia and bulimia and other eating disorders but to teach your child they have to be beautiful to win just fucking sucks. Our society has some serious issues and our children are dying for it. Forget Make-up call, I think these people need a serious Wake-up Call!

Cannot believe how quickly autumn is approaching. The summer seemed to be real short this year, we went to Canada on holiday where it was super hot and then came home to autumn? The weather here today is really dark and gloomy and ready to rain! The thing I love about autumn is the colour, the leaves all falling off the trees and halloween around the corner. I could do without the gloomy days and dirty streets. I have slimming world tonight, I sure hope I lose something!! I seriously need to get some of this weight off!! On another note.. 1 year ago today I quit smoking!!! I cannot believe I did it and I'm so proud of myself :) Now all I need to do is lose the weight and I am set :)

I have decided to start the blog over again and hopefully stick with it this time. I don't know why I start a blog and then keep up with them for a month and let them die. I guess I'm a procrastinator or just never able to finish what I start? All the same, here I am again and going to give it a good shot. Guess we will see what happen....
